Pillar candle

There are many shapes and sizes and each shape has a name when it comes to candles and candle molds in candlemaking . Votive, floating, taper, container and pillar candle are a few names for these shapes. Each shaped candle will use a different type or variation of wax in candlemaking. To make a shaped candle when candlemaking, you will need a candle mold whether you purchase a mold from an online store or through a craft store or get a mold from a recycled item found in your own kitchen.

The pillar candle and votive candle has many sizes to choose. Round, oval, octagon, and square pillars are just a few. They will come in many sizes as well, long, short and 1,2, or 3 wicks for the width in pillar candles.

Pillar and votive molds that are purchased will make the candle have a smooth finish and can be custom finished the way you like by adding textured finishes or embeds to make a custom candle.

Molds that are found at home from recycled materials will make very unique custom candles with textured finishes. Using frozen juice containers, dairy cartons or containers, juice crystal containers or even chip cans will allow for a special textured finish without having to use embeds or adding finishes.

Your imagination will allow for many unique, custom, quality candles and a lot of fun when candle making.

Molds and embeds are available on most online sites selling candle making supplies. Check the many sites through this website.
