There are many types of candles that use candle accessories.
Candle accessories can range from the glassware the candle is burned in, snuffers, lighters, rocks or gemstones, glass marbles and adapters. Accessories and supplies are available in most candle wax supply stores, candle making supply stores, craft stores and online through many sites.
Many types of candles need many styles of glassware to burn in. If a candle is not burned in the proper style of glassware, the candle will not burn properly. There are many types of candles; votives, tapers, and pillars are the most popular along with floaters and containers or jars. Votives need glassware supplies that fit the candle snuggly and will allow the candle to burn up to 15 hours. Tapers are burned best in candlestick holders, pillars are best burned on plates or pillar holders and floaters float on water in large glass bowls etc.
A snuffer is a great candle accessory because the candlewick will not be blown over or the wax will not be blown onto your furniture. Snuffing the candle is the best way to extinguish a candle safely. Adapters are another great idea especially when your taper candles don't fit properly in the candlestick holders. Adapters allow the candle to be glued into the candleholder with a sticky wax.
Candlemaking accessories and supplies are available at candlemaking supply stores, craft stores and through many online site's (like this one) links. These candlemaking accessories and supplies can also be found in dollar stores for a lot less just be sure they are safe for the candle you want to burn.
