A dripless candle can be made at home for a lot less than those you can purchase.
Candles can be a wonderful item to look when they are burning, but the worst thing is that the candle drips and makes a mess all over the table or mantle. A dripless candle can be made at home for a lot less than those you can purchase at a candle store or online from many candle companies. The dripless candles are made from a variety of waxes.
Dripless candles are made from beeswax, soy wax or even paraffin wax. The best candle wax is beeswax because it does not drip, tunnel or burn soot. The next best candle wax would be soy wax, which has a lower melting point than beeswax. Soy wax is a little softer wax and may drip but is very easy to clean up, just use soap and water. Soy and bees wax are a healthier choice for those with respiratory problems because they are both non-toxic. Soy is also cheaper than bees wax. Paraffin is another option but the best wax to choose should have a higher melting point, which allows the wax to burn slower.
There are many styles of waxes to choose for dripless candles. The style you choose depends on what you need or want and what style of candle making you would like to try. Some are more difficult ( bees wax )and require more time to make. Always research your style or find a candle making kit that is appropriate for the style of candle making of your choice. Follow all instructions and recipes and use your ideas to make wonderful candles.
