A scented candle is nice to have to burn at home, to have a nice aroma in the house or to even set a mood for something special. Don't you find though when you are purchasing candles at a store that they always have basic scents or the exotic type fragrance oil are more expensive? If this is something that challenges you, try candle making and make your own custom handmade inexpensive scented candles.

Custom handmade inexpensive scented candles are easily made at home with instructions and a few basic supplies from your kitchen and some that can be purchased online or at any candle making supply or craft stores. Choosing your very own unique fragrance oil and color for your custom inexpensive handmade candles can be fun, especially when there are so many scents to choose from. Always remember that the fragrance oil you choose must be able to with stand the temperature of the wax you choose. Be sure to read your directions on the fragrance oil bottle and candle making instructions for each style of candle you want to make.

A handmade scented candle can be inexpensive, especially when using recycled household materials or sometimes called found items. As long as the found items can with stand the hot temperatures of the waxes and the containers you choose have an opening 2-3 inches wide, they will be safe to use for many varieties of custom scented candles. If this is your very first candle making project try purchasing a candle making kit. The kits usually contain enough supplies and instructions for you to complete 2-3 candles. Then you will be able to add more supplies for more projects. All supplies and kits are available online and at many craft stores.
