Candle making can be called a form of candle art.

Candle making can be called a form of candle art. Once the basic candle making skills are learned a candle maker can make the candles look different with ideas, textures, embeds, colors, scents and shapes. Candles can be a beautiful way to express yourself, by making candles into themes for different rooms in your house or even for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.

Candle art in candlemaking will let you be creative with your ideas and can be lots of fun. Be creative with your own ideas or by following instructions or recipes and using different shapes, colors, scents and even using some recycled materials like waxed cardboard and various household items for different textures. Experiment with different things as long as they are SAFE and won't cause fires or explosions. If you don't like the candle in most cases you can re-melt the wax and start again. Gel wax is one of the best for re-melting and placing fire resistant embeds into.

Many waxes can be molded or poured into containers, which allow you to add embeds and various colors and scents available at a craft supply store and online. The easiest wax to work with for making themed candles would be gel. Themed gel candle instructions or recipes can be found in a craft supply store, online or even in a book store. Gel candles are great candle gifts of art for someone special. If wanting to make candle gifts and you are a beginner try a candle kit. Kits will come with instructions or recipes to make and complete very special gifts.
