Candle fragrances are specially formulated for use in candle waxes.

Candle fragrances are specially formulated for use in candle waxes, some waxes like gel will have different results when using various scents. Each wax type will give a different scent throw for each type of fragrance. Experiment with your scented candle oil fragrance and candle wax, to get the best scent throw from your candle making project for special custom handmade scented candles.

Candle oil fragrances should only be used for handmade candle making. Use approximately 1 tsp. of scent to 1 pound of wax. If a stronger scent is required add more scent, it can be tripled without affecting the burning properties of your custom handmade candles.

Liquid or oil fragrances will give you the best scent throw and will allow the fragrance to be throughout the candle. Scent should always be added just before you are ready to pour your handmade candle. If the mixture sits too long, it will separate from the wax and go to the bottom of the candle. Candle scent is heat released and will evaporate while sitting in hot wax. Always stir well before pouring wax. Following these simple steps will get you the best custom handmade scented candles.
