Candle votives are small candles that burn from 12-15 hours.

Candle votives are small candles that burn from 12-15 hours when in a proper container. Votive candles are a great to have around the house for those special moments, like a party or even while having a relaxing bath. Candle votives come in a large variety of colors and scents and will last for up to 12 hours if you use glassware or candle holders that allow the votive to fit very closely to the edge of the glassware or holder, to allow a slower burn.

Try making your own votive candle using purchased candle molds or even molds that are found in your own recycling box. Purchased candle molds are usually made of metal and if cared for, will last for all your candlemaking. Recycled molds from your home could be from film containers, pill bottles, mini yogurt containers, shot glasses and even the votive glassware you will burn it in later. The recycled molds will have a short life but will do when just candlemaking votives for you or as gifts. Votive candlemaking will allow you to make candles in colors and scents that you like, not what a company has available to purchase in specific colors and scents.

Candlemaking is a lot of fun and choosing to make votive candles will let you learn candle techniques and simple ideas. Votive candles take a short time to harden, so you can enjoy the candle sooner.
