A pure bee wax candle is made from an all-natural wax made by bees.

A pure bee wax candle is made from an all-natural wax made by bees. When in its natural state bee wax will be yellowish in color and has a light honey scent. Molded beeswax candles are best made from pure bee wax because of its high melting point.

Pure bee wax can come in various forms, chunks of solid wax, pellets and pre-formed sheets. Chunks and pellets can be melted down then poured into a mold or container to form a candle. Pre-formed sheets are the easiest bee wax candles to make. Just roll the pre-formed sheet around a wick and you have a wonderful pure bee wax candle.

Pure bee wax can be purchased online, from wholesale waxes stores, beekeeper suppliers and beekeepers. Make sure the wax is light yellow in color and filtered to remove any impurities from the beeswax. Your best beeswax should be stored at room temperature. Low temperature and old beeswax can cause it to be brittle.
