Most of your gel candle making supplies can be found in your own kitchen.

Most of your gel candle making supplies can be found in your own kitchen. The rest can be purchased online or at any candle supplies store. When just getting started you should go over the instructions first to make sure you have all that is required for your gel candles project. Your basic supplies should be fire resistant containers, gel wax, pans or a pot to melt the gel wax in, large wicks, your favorite scent and color (dye), and a hot plate to melt the gel on (kitchen range).

Other candle making supplies can be non-flammable embeds (glass fish, rocks, sand, seashells), glitter, and chunks of wax which can be purchased from wholesale supply stores or found outside. A candy thermometer, spoons for stirring scent and dye, and measuring spoons are also handy to have for your candle project.

If these gel candle making supplies are hard to find, purchase gel candle kits. These candle making kits come with easy to follow instructions and all the supplies you will need to make at least one or two gel candles. Candle making kits are available online or at many wholesale candle supply stores. To continue with more gel candles, replace only the supplies needed from a wholesale supply store.
